Hi Guys
I have just bought my first Peugeot 206 and am so far enjoying it. I noticed this plastic pipe on the engine, looks like it has been cut, silly question but does this pose as a problem? What is it for and what would be the best way about repairing it either myself or at a garage?

Many Thanks in advance;)

tis a engine breather pipe.not been cut ,they become brittle and break off.
will need a newie.may have oil dripping out of it and possible engine stalling or hunting. :)
possibly part number 1192y4 and about £32inc vat. :)

Hi Reap,
Many Thanks for that - I drove it home from dealer about 70 miles, when pulling into my drive, I hit reverse to correct my parking and it just kept stalling, when starting it would rev very slightly by itself before stalling.
I left it all day yesterday and popped to shops earlier and was ok, no probs. But I shall get Peugeot to have alook at it when it goes in for service - thanks again for your help

I'd use some duct tape as a temporary repair myself.
