2001 gearbox problem

hi there does anyone know ov common problems with the gearbox on these cars we brought the car back at start of 2007 its a 51 plate had 60000 miles 1.6 manual, then at the end ov the 2007 the car gearbox went[lost all drive you could put the car in any gear and it would not drive] so we brought a second hand one from a breakers from a car with 50000 miles on, rear end smash, the car ran great, but today guess what the gearbox has gone again lost all drive excatly the same as before, is it just shear bad luck or is this common? and has it got to be a 206cc gearbox or do all 206 gearboxes the same? please help if you can
