Hi Everyone,

I'm a 'Newbie' here but have already found lots of great advice!!

Our 206 02 plate 2.0 HDI has just come up with the 'anti pollution fault' which I can see from this forum that lots of you have experienced!!

I've made some notes of what could be causing it and will get it checked out as it's still under warranty (thank God!) as we only bought it in December (probably why the previous owner sold it after reading this forum)!!!!!!!! So far, although it only started coming up yesterday, the car does not seem to be suffering any other problems - no sluggishness or lumpiness and no other warnings (apart from ice alert) have been coming up anywhere.

Am hoping it is something straightforward as we had problems with our last 206!!

Will get it checked out and report back with findings, especially if a new 'solution' crops up.

Welcome to the forum.
I've no knowledge of 206cc diesels and didn't know they did a 2.0 one.
My diesel is a VW Golf and I run it on BP Ultimate and Shell Optimax. Both are dearer than standard diesel but the car runs better and is more economical. Never use supermarket fuel as it lacks additives to keep the engine clean internally.

Interesting discussion:
