Illumination of Auto Transmission panel

Hi,

My wife has recently purchased a 206cc ex Japan, and I have a small query regarding the illumination of the automatic transmission control lever.

The car is a 2005 model fitted with Tiptronic transmission.

At night, the only illumination on the auto selector lever, is that given off by a couple of buttons on the right hand side. Sport mode and snow condition.

Does the auto transmission have any other bulbs which illuminate the various selector positions?

Also how do you remove the central panel around the automatic transmission?

The indicator works fine on the instrument panel.

Managed to remove the centr console , and I see that there are no bulbs in the area, and the plate is solid....

So no lighting there for me:(
