Hi,

I hope some of you may be able to help...

My Mrs wants a 206 1.1 look as a little run around for her and our 2 daughters.

We have a budget of around 2.5k and i have found a few nice 206's on around 02 & 03 plates which meet budget.

Neither of us have ever owned a Pug before and dont really know what to look for (common faults) when buying one - can any of you tell us any tell tale problems to look for when buyig one of these snazzy little motors!

Thanks in advance.
:)

I would just like to say a big thankyou for all of your informative replies.
I dont know what I would of done if I hadn't joined this forum.
I have been flooded with pointers & advice from all of you fantastic members.
I am surprised I have not crashed your host servers with the size of this thread!
Again - Many thanks, I just hope one day I will be able to repay the helpful members of www.peugeot206cc.co.uk
I will highly recommend this forum to every Peugeot owner I know.

PS - Many thanks Pugly - I will try another forum as you suggested.

Note from Moderator: Your sarcasm is noted.

Perhaps you would get a suitable response if you joined the correct forum as previously suggested by one of our members.

Yes I would say. You have registered with the 206CC website. The CC does not have a 1.1 version so go troll somewhere else.

You are all absolutely right!

I drive a 2.2 Vauxhall Vectra myself and if anyone asked me about a 2.0 litre / 1.8 or other version of exactly the same car - I would be absolutely clueless.

I too would ignore them and tell them to go elsewhere for general information about a car which I drive everyday.

Note to moderator: Your forum has had such a profound affect upon me that I have decided to buy a donkey for my partner & 2 daughters as I feel it would less of a humiliating experience than being branded a Peugeot owner.

Love to you all.:love-thx::love-u:

Yes I am afraid this forum isn’t as popular as it once was. Guess all the problems have been fixed. Well except for Melwongs. Think he/she may be better off with your donkey.

Grandadmonkey is very good at replying to most problems and queries even if they have come up time and time again. Personally I think people should try searching first.

That said you would be surprised by the differences between a CC and a 1.1 206. I can only think of the main under chassis, bonnet, dash, middle grille and wipers as being used in both models. You state you have 2 daughters, which will want rear seats. Have you ever seen the rear space in a CC compared to a 1.1 206. Hence why Pugly rightly responded to you nicely, before your sarcastic response.

If you are not trolling then please be advised that asking for opinions on a 206 1.1 on a 206 CC website is like asking for advice for your Vectra on a Calibra website.

(Just thought I would add this in order to get the last word) ;)
