Roof problem!!!!Told roof ECU!!

I have a problem with my roof. I have had the chains altered twice, Micro switches changed and the switch inside the car changed and now the garage thinks a have a problem with the ECU unit. Has my roof still only works when it feels like it. It would seem most of the problem's occurs when the car is red hot (from the sun) because when inside the garage the roof will continue going up and down. Try it outside and it only opens half way and stops.

Sounds as if the garage is proceeding by trial and error. I'd get a second opinion from another garage that knows what it is doing.
