Hi all. Noob to cc's but by no means a noob to cars and engines.
I want to change the cambelt on the GF's cc.
I've read the repair manual and I'd like to know do you really need to buy the special tensioning tools to tension the cam and aux. belts? Had a quick look on ebay and they're £75-£95
In the past I've always found ways around using "special" tools on my cars, but I can't see how to tension the aux. belt without the peugeot tool.
I tried using a pair of bent-nosed circlip pliers on the holes in the moving block behind the pulley, but I can't get a good enough grip. Anybody know of any clever ways around it?
Cheers
Changing cam belt

Thanks kj16v. Obviously no-one whose been on the site over the weekend in a holiday period knew the answer to you question. Most owner's aren't technically minded and are out enjoying their cars on a sunny weekend. I wouldn't have known the answer to your question, sorry.
