What do the pics on elec window switches mean?

Hello,

Could someone tell me what the pics/symbols on elec window switches mean?

Left button on mine has one that looks like a half open window and the other looks like an "A".

I have just bought a new one but this has a half open window on both.....!! Now thinking I have the wrong one :(

The one with the A means it's automatic when you click it and the window goes down on its own i believe.
