Hi all,

I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help me, as i am new to your forum.

I purchased a 2002 206 cc just over a month ago. In the last two weeks i have been having some starting problems with it.

Problem - I can unlock the car with the key fob and get into the car, but when i put the key into the ignition and turn it, it is completely dead. No lights on the dash board at all, or on the display. I then get out of the car, with the key, lock it and unlock it, and put key back into ignition, turn the key, and this time all lights are on and the car starts no problem, but, the clock display with the date re sets itself completly. I also loose all of my saved radio stations. This has now happened 3 times, and i use the car daily.

I hope that someone can point me in a direction of getting this fixed, as it is concerning me.

Many thanks,

Marie :)

Hi,

Yes i did sort the car out.

When i took it in for it's mot the guy informed me that my battery was not actually connected correctly, which was therefore causing a earthing fault :)

Hope this helps with you :)

Hi Marie

Thanks for replyiing, think my problem may be the BSI god knows how much it's gonna cost if it is that. Weighing up whether to take car to a peugeot garage or an indepedent garage that specialise in electrics.

I'll post my progress x
