Hello i'm new on the forum, just wanted to say hello.

To tell you about me, i'm a French owner of a 206cc since 2006, and i now live in the UK, London, since 2008. I wish i can bring it here by the end of the year !! And then maybe attend to your meetings :trumpet:

Sorry in advance for my english, and for technical words i definitely don't know yet.

We have the same forum in for France that i created (not sure i can give you the link. Anyway..). If somebody would like to meet in Paris it's open :-).

Now i have many questions before bringing my car in the UK (i didn't start any research yet).

1) Car insurance : how much is car insurance about here ? Do you have full cover as well ? Do i have to have an english... What's the word... You know at the front and at the back, numbers & letters ?? Or can i keep my French one ?

2) Parking in London : how much is a parking in London (i live in London Bridge) ? Do you have resident prices ?

3) Has anyone already done UK - France by car ? What's the best way, and the price i should expect ?

Thanks for your answers, and sorry if i didn't post in the right section.

Bonjour et Bienvenue. Don't have definitive answers to your questions but maybe someone with more knowledge on the forum will be able to comment.

Our insurance is about £250 p.a. but we live out in the sticks and are nearing retirement age!

Your choice of words is to the point. The forum is not as lively as some others that I am involved in. Many of the owners do not appear to be technically minded. It seems that when the forum was started several years ago it was much more active. There are a dozen or so active contributors at the present time with various Guests coming on line daily to view the forum without contributing.
Do I take it that your French forum is a lot more active?

At the moment it is yes. But we hace a strong competitor which is experiencing matters currently. When they ll solve that out, we ll see how we do. But anyway they use to have a big animation on theirs. 206cc community is far from dead worlwide. ;)

Do you speak of other forums on the same subject ? And if possible still for UK ?
