CV joint needs changing: model nos/ dimension; relatively ur

Dear all,

Thanks a lot for such an informative forum.

I recently got 51 Reg, 2 Lt, petrol 206 CC. Noted some noise from teh passenger side on slow speeds- took to garage and they said that ABS ring on CV joing has cracked and needs replacing. At the momnet they have welded it and is workin fine- however might need changing in future.

On ebay I found a trader selling CV joint with boot bit for the above mentioned model for Â£20.

Though it seems a good bargain but I want to mae sure that I am buying the right one. Can anybody supply with more information ed part size. dimension, model nos etc so when I buy it I can ensure its the right one. I am not mechanically minded so please bear with me

rang local peugeot just now- they say that it needs the whole new Driveshaft - Â£200 !!!!!

Is that really the case - or just money making scam

Sorry, don't know the answer to your question. If it is working fine since it was welded why not leave it as it is?
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

hello.just had a quick look and no.they dont sell the radial target seperate. will be a new or exchange drive shaft.and exchange one is Â£160.maybe be cheaper from a factor?
