Steering Stalk

Hi,

I have a JVC CD player which is steering stalk ready...

I have got the lead from halfords to fit it but havent got a clue how to actually fit the lead?!

Anyone have any ideas?!

Well the steering stalk on the 206 comes through the wiring loom into the back of the stereo so I guess that the adapter you have bought is similar to a wiring loom adapter, you'll need to remove the stereo and fit the wiring adapter.

Or, take your car back to Halfords and they will fit it for a fee.

Any other problems just come back to us.

Yeh i have tried Halford & JVC. They dont seem to have a clue lol.

does the adapter have a black block in the middle?
when in doubt go flat out lol!

Yeh it connects to my jack on the back of my stereo then i have a little black block. Think i need another block though to connect the both together?!

hi from reading other posts, you usually need two wiring harness's, one for the jvc unit and one for the actual steering stalk. You need to be careful which adapter you buy for the stalk itself as there are so many different variations, especially on the 52-03 plate where the multiplex wiring came in. The wiring harness for the unit is pretty generic you pick the headunit you have and then pick the corresponding harness.
