Electrical Problem after using Jump Leads

Hello,

My gf has a Peugeot 206cc, she was using faulty Jump Leads to start her mom's car. (Jump leads was borrowed, didn't know they was faulty).
Subsequently they sparked and caught fire.
Later that day my gf's mom needed to borrow the 206cc but when it was started up the interior light keeps flashing on and off.
Does anyone know what’s happened? Is it bad or easily fixed?

most likely it just the battery being dead itself, if it keeps on flashing then there could be something going on possibaly the alternator/alternator belt/starter motor/immobilizer you should have it checked just to be on the safe side.
