when she goes to lock the car she presses the lock button once and it locks presses it again to deadlock and nothing happens, then when she wants to unlock it nothing happens and she has to use the key to unlock it. also she has noticed the clock re sets itself when this happens.... any ideas as to what this is whould be a real help thanks

Hi Nick
Does it have problems starting? and dose it dead lock on the key?(lock with key and keep in position until it dead locks)
To me it sound like the battery on the car is faulty, a short on the central locking system, or maybe the key fob needs a new battery or reprograming?
But as the clock resets then I would look for a short on the central locking system as this system is not normaly covered by a fues, to my recall, but ill find my files and try to find out.
Hope this helps Steve

Hi Nick
I was wrong about the central locking not having a fuse, it has three.
MF07 a 30 Amp (found in the Engine Fuse box) goes to the ignition,
MF04 a 70Amp (found in the Engine Fuse box) then goes to F16 a 30Amp (found in the passenger fuse box) this is connected to a central locking control relay.
The closes thing I fount to the clock was a Multifunction Display and this uses three fuses as well,
MF05 a 70 Amp (found in the Engine Fuse box) this goes to F4 a 20 Amp (memory backup) and F15 a 15 Amp (show time when ignition is on via a relay) (all three are found in the passenger fuse box)
Sorry this might not be much help but worth a look, as you can do this for free.
