Hello fellas,

Does anyone know how much current the alternator of a 2001 2.0 Allure can generate?

I can't find a thing on it in the forums and Mr. Google gives conflicting data: 80A 90A 120A and 150A.

I ask because I have a 150A compatable lying around and wan't to know if it would be worth spending a day fitting it into the car.

Has anyone had any problems with lights dimming on ~1000W ICE installs? I guess if that happens, a cap will be in order.

I would apreciate any help with this ;-)

not so sure about the alternator but u can buy a dry cell battery which was invented for installs. as for the lights it happens in almost every car so as long as the car starts without fail u shouldnt hav a problem but your right a cap will sort that by storing power and releasin it wen nessesary. hope this helps
when in doubt go flat out lol!
