Well here goes...
I have been having problems with lowering the roof on my wifes 206cc. We bought it from her brother in October and he neglected to tell us until recently that he had had difficulty lowering the roof...After a few weeks of not being able to open it we took the car back to him yesterday because he claimed he had never failed to open it!...True to his word he opened it yesterday...problem is it then got stuck in the boot!..He said that that had never happened to him before...anyways followed the procedures for a manual lift...all good until it came to the last step...close the boot...It closes fine but its still a little loose on the back window end!...For some reason the catches are not locking properly and the only thing holding it down is those white u shaped clips...As it was 0C yeserday and I was 50miles from home I called out my breakdown company as I didnt fancy driving with it loose...This guy came looked at it didnt know what to do so he has cable tied it shut...anyone have any ideas before I take it to Peugeot and get ripped off?

Well...fixed at last!
Took it to Peugeot and explained the problem, they changed the micro switch on the drivers door pillar...all works fine £140 inc Vat!
Thought Id give them a mention for anybody in the Swansea/Llanelli area H J Phillips & Son Ltd, Llanelli, (told me it would be £50 to diagnose then parts and labour to fix)
great service and much cheaper than CEM days of Swansea who want £67.50 +vat per hour just to look at it, with it possibly taking 2hrs!

Well done, glad it is sorted at last. That doesn't sound too expensive. They need some reward for their technical expertise, labour, and the cost of the switch.
You must be relieved, and by reporting back the outcome you'll probably be helping someone else out in the future. Thank you.
