Welcome to the forum. The lock button on your remote should only be pressed once. Avoid pressing the buttons of your remote control out of range of your vehicle. You risk causing it not to work and the remote control would have to be reprogrammed.

A suitable torx driver should enable the hook to be tightened.

Thanks for the reply. Im just soo curious as to what happens when you press it twice, as when i do, the indicator lights repeadly flash quick for like 10seconds. Is this actually doing anything or has it activated or deactivated anything? I have read that on a peugeot 406 when your car is locked and you press the lock button again, then, the horn sounds. This is so that you can find your car. Is this the case with our 206 cc's? i downloaded a 206 cc user manual and still can not find what it actually does when you press the lock button twice. Any help would be apriciated. many thanks in advance!

You have your answer then, your indicator lights flash quickly. Just remember though, curiosity killed the cat! :yikes:

Read in my manual it is simply to help you find your car. It also says to deadlock press fob but to just 'lock' (which means it locks but if you have locked a child in for example they can get out by opening the door) you need to press and hold.
