hi all

bit of a newbie question ere so please bear with me.

the other half has just brought a 206cc auto on a 02 plate, the problem that we get is it slightly pulls to the left when in normall driving conditions but when you boot it it stays true and straight.

having read on loads of different forums including yours these little cars suffer from torque steer when pushed but not normal driving. could this problem be caused because its an auto and its always changing blinkin gear or have i brought her a plum?

any help please
cheers mark

ps: i have had it tracked by lots of different places and they all say that its fine :(b

If the tracking is fine then you could try swapping the front wheels over. Make sure the front tyre pressures are exactly the same. Are the tyres identical?
The camber of the road can also cause a slight pull to the left, so can a "tight" brake caliper.
A French auto...............? No thanks. Good luck.
Welcome to the forum Mark.

Well done Mark, glad you got it sorted. Bet it's a different car to drive now.
I have to confess I once had an auto Peugeot many years ago, a 505 Family Estate, a lovely car to drive. Never had any problems with it.
Best wishes to you both for Christmas.

So mine pulls to the left as well... it have 2 new F1's on the front about 2 years ago (only done about 6k miles on them) and it has been pulling for about a year now. I've had the car checked over and nothing obvious reported, also had the tracking done and again nothing wrong... plenty of life in the tyres so don't really want to be replacing them yet... but do you really think the tyres are causing the problem and why after such a short life?? Ta! :D
