and I've been having a little look around these forums. I'm really scared that I might have made the wrong decision. I traded in my 1997 MX5 and spent a little money and got a 2001 2.0 SE.

Its got a full service history, 80k on clock and had a new timing belt fitted last year. The body work is immaculate (apart from a couple of scuffs that can easily be sorted) and the roof appears to be working perfectly.

Have I made the right choice.... are the older models very unreliable???

I don't think you have made the wrong choice. As with all cars the 206cc has faults but luckily for us we have this site. The only difference between the 206cc and a boring normal car is the fab roof and yes it will stop working and annoy the hell out of you and can be costly but they look fab.

I have a 2001 206cc 2.0ltr full leather and I have spent about a grand on it in the two years in which I have had it which I dont think is that bad considering it looks great. All the 206cc have roof problems, ecu problems and exhaust problems regardless of age.

Just sit back enjoy the ride and if something does go wrong with it, slam it on this site and peeps will be happy to help. :D:D:D:D:D
