Hi,
I am from South Africa. It is winter now so we do not use the roof.
About a month ago, we had a lovely hot Sunday. We opened the roof and everything went well.
When we wanted to put the roof back up again, disaster. Boot lid opened and when the roof was suppose to lift
nothing moved. You can hear the hydraulic pump running, but as if there is no fluid (running with in a air pocket).
We took the car to Peugeot to hear what went wrong. Two weeks later with five different explanations they said,
"there is an internal leak in the left piston that lifts the roof".
They want to ask us a arm and a leg to fix it. With five different explanation before, how can I take that chance of paying
a great sum of money for something that can still maybe not be the problem.
I want to fix it myself. I need info on how the hydraulic system work. How to bleed the system after opening it. How do I check
for the hydraulic fluid level.
I need as much info on this as possible. Can you help?

Re: Roof hydraulic system
Obviously this was a long time ago when you posted but did you ever get this sorted out.
I am in a similar boat and have a roof that goes up and down fine, however the latches on the boot lid where the white clips are lock into place as they should but the left side comes unclipped when driving, resulting in the annoying beep informing you of the fact.
It is as if the white hammer latches, operated by the bike cables running down the sides of the top opening boot section that hold the boot into place are just not being held there with enough pressure. Hydraulic pump leak back to the resivour?
Does anyone know about how to check the pump, fluid level? faults?
Has anyone else had this issue? I would be interested to hear.
Further to that once the boot lid springs open near the back window left corner and the beep sounds the roof will not operate (because of an error state). Lock and unlock the car (which must reset the ECU) and the roof can be operated again.
