non stop beeping and roof wont go down

Hi all, can anyone please help my 2001 206cc has developed a problem which is that it constantly beeps and the roof wont go down. sometimes it does stop for a bit then when the boot is opened it starts again i have also noticed that when the roof wont go down and the beeping has started the rear screen heater thing wont work either
does anyone have any ideas I took it to my garage but they couldnt figure it out the beeps are driving me crazy Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you may have the same problem as me, mine is in the garage at the moment, the problem with mine is the micro switches either side of the boot near the little white hooks but because ours are 2001 these two micro switches are also connected to the boot catch in the centre so you will need to replace all three which comes to about Â£200 without fitting, the guy in the garage has rung me today and informed me that all is working well but an intermintent fault apears which prevents the roof from opening so he is going to try an ecu so I was about to ask if anyone knows how much they cost. HI,

My roof wont open either, its a 51 plate same as ures. My windows go down everything happens as it should you hear the hydrualic work for about two seconds then it stops..beeps and nothing.
Do you think mine could be the switches too?
As you have been through this thought you may be able to shed some light on what to do next?
Any help would be most appreciated.

hi, my roof goes down but got continous beepin when driving when roof is up, any suggestions please. put mine on ecu machine but no faults up

We have had the same problem.The car went into a local auto electrican and he found that the wires inside the boot lid had shorted and this in turn had taken out tracks in the roof ecu. The guy who fixed it really knows what he is doing and was able to repair the wiring as well as the ecu, total cost was Â£120 so we were well impressed. This doubtless saved us a fortune as I cant se a dealer repairing an ecu. The garage is in Coventry and if anyone wants his details reply on here.

Hi, I have recently got a 55 plate cc and i am having similar problems in which whenever i put anything in my boot regardless whether the screen is across or not my car bleeps continuously when driving. I believe it is something to do with the roof as the back heater windscreen wont turn on when this happens. The only solution i have found for this is to take my roof down and put it back up and this seems to stop the bleeping but as you can imagine this is very annoying. Has anyone else had the same problem ? I have already taken it back to the garage and they slammed the boot shut a few times and said eveything is fine but it has started again and i would like to know what is wrong and how to fix it ! let me know if you can help ?

hi ya, na mine aint nothing to do with that, i have had to have all my catches adjusted as roof went down but didnt come up unless it was done manually. hopefully htis has solved it
