Hi all, I'm new to this site/forum.
I know someone who considering selling her peugeot 206cc 1.6 on a 05 plate.
I have been to look at the car and it is red and in very good cond indeed and only has 15,500 miles.
she tells me it was original imported and is the 1.6 S, however the log book doesn't state that it is an S model, should it?
What would the S have.
The car itself has Air con, electric mirrors alloys and much more with cloth interior.
The Log book does however say that the car was registered in may 2005.
and she has all the service books stamped etc from new.
She said the car first came form Greece in 2005 and had done approx 3000 miles.
the log book also says the following:
Variant: 2DNFU
Version: 2DNFUF
Does anyone know what this means?
and also what difference would owning an Import have if any?? are they worth less too???
I would appreciate any help with this please and......
could anyone tell me what sort of money i would be looking at to buy this car.
newbee looking for advice on an Imported 206cc

Back here in Germany people often import cars from belgium, denmark or italy. biggest differences exist regarding some technical details, e.g. regarding the anti-lock brakes, the ESP electronic stability program, some models do not offer heated seats in combination with leather, or headlamp washers, light/wiper-sensor, others offer variations of alloys. there also might be different emission standards. so I would recommend, check what equipment was standard back in 2005 for the equivalent model in the UK (maybe somebody can scan you a UK-brochure from those days?) and check, if you get a car with all these features. if so, everything will be fine. otherwise (e.g. if ESP is missing and it was standard in the UK) you will have a problem reselling it later!
You might check the VIN here

2DNFU means according to the first link mentioned
2= 206
D= Convertible
N= 1587 cc
FU= more detailed information on type of motor, gearbox and fuelsystem
have fun with il greco!
I can't add the brochure to the borchures overview, so here is the link to a 206cc UK-brochure from april 2005:

maybe the admin can add it ?
