Hi,

I had a problem with my roof yesterday, it went all the way down into the boot but would not 'bong' to say it had completed, the motor just kept whirring. Then I put it up and tried again, but same thing. I left it up and drove to the Peugeot dealer nearby, but the whole time this annoying noise was going 'bing bing bing' which you can imagine gets a tad annoying!

They had a look at it, and said bring it back tomorrow. I've just called, as they've had it all day and not contacted me, and someone told me it needs a new cable, but this can't be ordered on its own they need to order the latch also, he could not tell me how much this would be and that somone will call me back, an hour later I'm still waiting.

He also sais they don't have these parts in stock, and would order them, they'd take a few days, but I can have my car back in the meantime, the roof is up and he thinks the beeping has stopped.

Has anyone else had this problem? Did you have to have a new cable and latch? How much were they?

Thanks,
Lou

I had something like that i sorted my self, there is two catches on the boot lid that lock when you have opened the roof first i tightened all the screws that hold the latches and there is one white u shaped switch on each latch then i pull the white u shape swith out and turn 90 degrees and then put back the switch back to the original position and hopefully that works !!

I had the same kind of problem 3 months ago, took it to the dealer and he pressed the micro-switch a few times and when he raised and lowered the roof it worked fine, the micro-switch is on the left side in the boot near the roof hydraulics, when the roof goes down a section on the roof pushes the micro-switch in and the beeping stops.
Don't know if this will help you but it can't hurt to try.
