change gear knob

it may seem like a real dim question but i just got my pug and my partner got me a new gear know, but i cant figure out how to get the old one off, iv tried twisting and yanking but nothing seems to work

It will come off trust me... it just requires some serious muscle.

peugeot said it could be bonded on but thet wouldnt know, should i saw it off??

Hi there. I've only recently joined this site. I also struggled wiv getting my gear knob off, they are very difficult.
And although it's a couple of months late, the best way to get the stubborn ones off is to use a pair of grips to twist the actual plastic bit and then yank hard upwards and it comes right off.

Hope someone can benefit from this valuable info!!!
