CD Head Unit

Im new to the pug206cc

..... I would like to change the CD head unit (the one which comes along with the 206cc) & getting something else, however I would like to know whether the attached remote on the side of the steering wheel would still work if i changed the head unit?

On early models it was possible to get a module to adapt the remote, but they were specific to Sony head units and the one I tried was crap. Im not sure about multiplexed models though. Try Halford or one of the online audio retailers (google car audio direct) I ended up using a standard sony stalk and replaced the lower steering cover with a lesser 206 cover that didnt have the remote stalk cut out.

you can get mutiplexed adaptor for jvc and there are others which i cant rember.

i have a jvc head unit which i want to put in. wot is this multiplexed adapter and where can i get it? cheers.
