Peugeot automatic 1.4 LX 51 have only had the car for 3 months. it has done 53K, it has often stalled when first started even in mildish weather, but was fine when it got going. today....... it has been juddering along and going up any incline it lost virtually all power????? i tried to use the kick down and went down manually through the gears but it made no difference? i bought the car from a dealer but it's over 40 miles away and i don't think it will make it over there. any advice? or does anyone know a reliable mechanic in East Sussex?
many thanks Helen

thanks Reep i feel a little better now. had visions of a new gear box which i'm told might be £2000. my peugeot dealer won't even look at the car unless i pay for time taken. approx £45 just to have a look.???? i am disabled and spent every penny i had on getting this car and def can't afford any more bills. i'm going to ring the garage i got it from and see if he'll pay for it to be done locally LOL. Wish i'd stuck to my reliable Ford Fiesta! i needed to get an automatic and was told ford autos are rubbish which is why i got the peugeot.
thanks for your help will update tomorrow!

UPDATE..... rang the garage i got it from and electrics are not covered?? not exactly a window or sunroof?? local dealer has fixed it for £308, local dealer even rang the garage and explained that it has the wrong spark plugs in which is what damaged the coil pack!!!!!!! they weren't having any of it :-( still at least i'mback on the road!
well done to Reep for a perfect diagnosis!
cheers Helen
