Fault Codes

Hi Everyone,

Just bought Peugeot 206 2001 model, can any one tell where i can find details about the fault codes which flash on mileage screen for example 14900. Also my car's radio is locked and displays 4 ERROR. how to fix that. Pelase help

the 206 dosent flash fault codes on the milage thingy. does only tell you trip miles ,actual miles and service due. car has to be plugged into by scanner or pug planet.

so not sure what you on about.lol

and error 4 on stereo means you have inputted the code wrong 4 times.depending on stereo make you only get 5 chances then the unit will lock,so will be useless to you.

Thanks for prompt reply, there is actually some thing flashing on mileage display its
'' spanner( Shape) and 14900' this is there when I trun on ignition and also with this STOP flashes, but all this disappears when the car starts and this wasent there when I bought the car. Also pelase tell what should I do to get the radio unlocked when its displaying '4ERROR' and not accepting further codes.

If it has a spanner then a number that is telling you how many miles you have until your next service is due. The spanner should go out and the display reverts to mileage after a few seconds.

Or at least thats what it did in my citroen c2 which is very similar. Wouldn't know exactly on Pug as only bought mine today and it doesn't come till Monday

yep as above .tis telling you that you are due for a service in 1400 miles time,if you go over the 1400 then it will start reading a negative number ie -50 etc.
get service done and have service indicator(spanner)reset.

stereo fault...i need to know what type it is before i can help? can you post a pic?

has it got a rotary volume control on the left? or a push button volume control on the right? :0
