What does this mean?

On the display where it shows the temperature etc, I have a sign that has come up which looks like the finishing post at a racecourse (if you know what I mean). This is followed by two chevrons pointing right towards a reading of 17mph. This hasn't changed or altered since it came up. What does it mean, I can find no reference to this in the handbook at all. Any advice gratefully recieved.

P.S. Before it setled at 17mph it was whizzing around and bringing up all sorts of numbers. ....help

its distance traveled since last fuel top up i think(trying to remeber the sequnce???)
you need to scroll back through the menu using the end of the wiper stalk(small button.
will show you

time
distance to next fuel fill
average fuel
instantanious fuel
total fuel used(i think)

It's in my handbook on pages 74-75 under TRIP COMPUTER
As Reap says scroll through the display using the button on the end of your wash/wipe stalk to get:
- the range
- the distance travelled
- the average consumption
- the current consumption
- the average speed
Suggest you check your handbook again Glyn.
