At some time in the past a previous owner broke/replaced the string cord thats in the boot to foldback the detachable rear shelf when having to manually operate the roof in an emergency... it was replaced not by some nice looking black knob that sits in the cord hole recess but by a white platic pull cord as you would use for a bathroom light or shower on/off switch.
Flush with cash this month ( all of £5!) I decided to treat the car to a nice new proper Peugeot 206cc pull cord as shown (as part 3on page 113 of the handbook,,, wow !
The pug parts man duely toddles off round the back into the stores and returns with the genuine part,,, He presents me with a white plastic knob pull cord as used for a bathroom light or shower on/off switch !!!!!!!!!!
Your avin a laff aint yer, i say,, oh no he say.. this is what the mighty Peugeot now offer in-lieu ( thats lieu, not loo) of the proper thing. Went to another main dealer and they say the same

Whats all that about then ?

Any ideas where can I get the proper pug pullcord/knob from ???????/

You could try a scrapyard, but to be honest, there'd be nothing wrong with just using a bathroom light pullcord from a DIY shop.
