Recently I've notice intermitent squeaking sound coming from the rear. The squeaking sound appear even on a flat road but not always. Conditioned the boot rubber but it is still there. Checked just know and found there is some free play (when push outward) on the boot cover (bottom right) when open. Could you check if this is normal ? There isn't any free play on the left side.
Anyone, any idea ?

I think I finally located where the squeaking sound coming from. The boot cover is not holding firmly to the frame on the right. When I push the right side from top while the boot is close, I could immediately hear it squeaks. Next for me is to figure out how to tighten the boot cover to its frame. Anyone, any idea ?

hi
not sure on this one but i have two ideas ,first you could tighten the boot lock so the boot closes tighter there is a guide in the repair section or in the same repair guide there is a bit were you can tighten the roof support that goes all round the boot ,its a black metal tubing with 2 rubber feet that rest near the lights and it reduces the flex in the roof and holds the boot tight .
the easy way to tighten the rubber feet 5 min job open the boot and look up on the lid inside near the handle there is a rubber foot and another on the other side (you dont need to take the black cover off ) you need a alan key i think 5 mm next to the rubber foot there is a little hole in the black cover were the alan key head is undo it (it might be tight i had to tap with hammer whislt turning )then turn the rubber feet outwards two or three turns on both sides then shut your boot and see if it is tighter if it feels better tighten with the alan key job done.
what i did aswell to check if the feet was supporting well i opened the boot the other way just before the roof starts to open look in the boot and you will see the rubber feet on the black tubing frame resting on the stops and you can see if they are taking the weight , when i did mine there was loose with a 3mm gap so after a tightened them the boot never rattled and reduced the flex in the roof .
hope this helps !!!

There was no gap from naked eye but I still turn a few round out to make sure it is taking weight.
There is still sound coming from the rear occasionally but not as frequent or as loud as before. I think I can live with that.
Thank you very much for helping me to solve 2 problems.
