Yes its a new blower motor, but pattern part not manufactures.

My wife's car has the digital push button controls with A/C and auto climate control and all of the work to remove and replace motor was done from the passenger foot well after removing the glove box.

I will check the Brake light switch to see if that's shifted.

Not sure why its stopped after working ok for a week ?

Planet Peugeot .. official diagnostic software that also can check and reset the BSi which most diagnostic code readers don't .. s/w is relatively easy to get .. the expensive bits are the Lexia cables to connect laptop/pc to car.

Of the car is petrol and late 2001, or diesel and late 2004, then you might get a standard EOBD scanner to read basic codes, but not the BSi unit. BSi is the "brain" of the 206 ..

Took the car into a friends garage and he put it on his gismo.
He couldn't find any fault codes logged, so he gave me the number of a mobile auto electrical specialist who previously worked for Peugeot for 30 years.

The man arrived today and discovered the brake light switch jammed on! I check behind the break pedal, but there is one in the passenger foot well that is controlled by the linkage to the servo unit :o

He also found the plug to the fan motor burnt out. I could even see it but he showed me the bit he cut out and it was very discoloured. He said the motors draw a lot of current and if the rehastat had gone this could have overloaded it. He said i did the right thing replacing the motor but unfortunately had missed the fault on the plug.

He was there about 3 hours and only charged £60 so i think that was money well spent....and he indoors has her "Warm" car back. :big-grin:

Thanks for all your help and sugestions on here though guys

Thanks for the feedback. It's always good for other people experiancing the same problems to know the outcome.
So it was a burnt plug and a brake light switch! ;)
Cheers Col.

Yes. The technician said the blower motor probably went, taking the plug out with it.

At least it was a fairly quick (& cheap) fix
