Like Denmark, in Oz we don't have a choice. On the 2.0 you get the lot and can choose leather as an option. On the 1.6 you don't even get a choice to get things like auto wipers/lights.
I guess it's all about the size of the market you're in. Bigger market = more choices (and opportunities for the marketing guys to make $'s)

I had the same problem with my car when i collected it, it was missing a sports pack...
The salesman claimed it was there
I was told that it wasnt possible to fit all of it after production, and that some of the parts werent available for the dealer to order
: I went for the best they could offer and have kick plates, gear knob, gear stick gator, pedals, steering wheel. They couldnt do the white dials, which to be honest i didnt want, the ally door opening thingys, and the airvents already had the ally bits on them.
Either that or wait another 6 months for another car! Besides i am happy (well i have most of the bits i wanted) which is the main thing

Well I am currently still negotiating. They tried to fob me off with £95, but I have it in writing that the car should have the sports pack on.
They have now agreed to have the sports pack fitted. I am not going to bother with the dials, as I am happy with the current ones and slightly worried about the display being 'fiddled' with!
Currently going for mouldings, gear knob & gaiter, steering wheel and handbrake. Not sure whether I should hold out for the pedals too??
If there are any girls out there who have them- if you are wearing nice shoes (i.e. no grip) do you slip on the aluminium pedals??
Will keep everyone updated on the saga- although a bit distracted at the moment as I have nasty accoutancy exams!

I understand if the dials arn't to everyone's taste (though I personally think its that that make the sports interior, the white dials also have a better more funky allumination at night). Its the resale value, people that buy a 2.0L SE expect the full sports pack and the white dials have the most impact, its not difficult to change but without it, it may have a knock on effect with desirability and your residials, I'd insist on the white dials for that reason alone.

Well this is the 1.6 model so I don't think the extras are quite so vital for resale as generally there are less of them about.
I am worried about the hassle involved with having the dials fitted- if there are any problems / if its badly fitted- its the thing you look at every time you get in the car!
Having only just got the car I really do not want to spend too much time in the garage

If you insisted on the white dials shouldn't be a problem to fit, they'll just whip off the steering wheel, a couple of screws an a change of instrument pod an its done.
You've obviously paid through the nose for the sports pack so if you don't want the white dial instrument pod, which is the most expensive part, it may be worth negotiating a partial refund.

you could always get the speedo from the 180GTi.
if i am right then this has the aluminium surrounds on the dials and lights up a nice SUBTLE blue colour at night. Same as the latest 406 (top spec ones). We wanted it on my second CC but it wasnt available. It might be now.

Although the piccies at http://www.206gti180.peugeot.co.uk/ would suggest that although they have chrome surrounds, the lighting is still amber.
