Auto "up" on drivers side windows - Yes or No?

Asked my dealer to check the auto "up" on the drivers side window - you know, pull the leckkie window button back as far as it will go and hold for a second, let go and the window should rise automatically. They said Pug used to do this but due to problems new cars don't have it(?) The window goes down automatically and I'm sure it used to go up as well before I had a new window/roof ECU fitted. Anyone know the definitive answer?

Mine only goes up automatically when the engine is on.

Same as Erm drivers side up when the engine is on. The passenger side only goes up when you hold the button though

mines is same as erm and my car was only built in november 2001.

HHmmmmm! Thanks guys. I'm beginning to spot a trend here. Think I'll see what other replies get posted over the weekend and then try another Pug dealer in Manchester (i.e. the one that originally fitted the ECU) and see what they say.

just to throw a spanner in the works. Certain european imports have auto window up on driver and passenger side.
