beeing an old 206cc owner I really missed the cabrio (A3 now) and I am thinking of getting one of these 2 cars: either the 207cc 150HP or the mx5 1.8.
I know they cant be compared since they are different cars, but on the other hand both are at about the same price and both are cabrios. what do you think?
The mx5 has always had a repuration of being a real 'driver's car' - a proper sportscar feel, driving position etc. The new ones look gorgeous too! The 207cc is nice, I've not had a play with the 150hp one though. Tough decision really, I'm not sure what I'd go for! Sorry to be no help whatsoever
I read somewhere that the 207CC felt sportier to drive than the new MX5 in a recent car magazine and the 207 is far more pratical. The new MX5 is allegedly a bit of a let down. The 207CC 150 looks good on paper, but I would recommend a test drive as I felt it lacked in some areas. I reckon the diesel might be worth a try too.
How can you be missing open top motoring in this weather?
Very sorry you are right:rolleyes: just looked at the website its a very nice motor the new version i do prefer the mx5 on looks , just hope the roof will be ok on the mx5 because they had a lot of problems before with the 206
I haven't driven or owned one, but surely you'll get less reliability problems from a Japanese roof than a French roof? My dad had an old MX-5 for a couple of years and I think the only costs he incurred were a new set of tyres and an oil change.
