hi i have just joined this forum, and i was wondering if any one else has had proplems with thier seats.

My passenger seat ajustment has got stuck and my local dealer have quoted me £650 for a new frame. I find it hard to beleive it needs a whole new frame, surely its just a case of making an ajustment or replaceing something from within seat frame.

Can any one help with this proplem or advise where i can get a 2nd hand 206cc passenger frame. As i want my passangers to have a less bumper ride.

The passenger seat has a design fault im sure. Both my 206's have had problems with the passenger seat flying forwards and just being a right pain in the rear end.

If you are ever unsure about something especially when it concerns that amount of money, get a second opinion from another garage.

I went to another dealer and they wanted £50 just to look at it.

Someone I know ended up bolting there seat into place. It means you cant move the front seat and no-one else can drive it unless they got the same leg size as you, but it did the job and didnt cost 600quid. It's an option if you need to save money?

How old is the car Mat? The local scrappy is bound to have plenty of 206's lying around.

Have a 3 door 206 1.1 Fever and a 206cc and they both have identical problems with the passenger seat mechanism which can only be described as faulty in design. The forward and back sliding of the seat is linked to the back forward recline mechanism in order to make the seat move forward automatically to permit access to the rear seat. The problem locking back on the runners follows this operation. I was told by a Peugeot garage that the new 207 has a redesigned mechanism which I tested and it worked perfectly.

Personally, I don't think this has anything to do with wear of the runners.

Dont pay the money, if not covered by the garage then as pointed out get a subframe from the scrappies.

Garages are a rip off.

Our passenger one was faulty but covered.
