Just wondered if any of you have encountered Pug garages that invent serious problems with your car that need to be fixed immeadiately (at a high cost of course)?
It started with me when i took it to my local pug garage (bury st edmunds, suffolk) for warranty work when my car was new.
Had numerous fights with them about break pads etc.
They fitted these at 2000 miles.
But amazingly by the time the car had done 8000 miles i was told it urgently needed new pads and discs, front and back.
I laughed at them and got it checked else where and proved as i suspected everything was still almost brand new!!!!
This time i have taken it in for seat problem (in problem forum).
They told me i needed a new seat frame (£650), but also that to get it through MOT (id done 40 miles since last MOT) it needed a new front tyre (damage to wall) new exhaust (rusted) new pads and discs all round (they did well to last from 8000 miles to the 25000 its done now hey)!
I told them not to touch anything.
My seat now works properly and my mate took it to his garage and it flew through the MOT!
Any similar experiences with scare mongering and ripping off?
