Help- cant seat fully reclined!!!!!!!

Hi All

Am in the process of selling my car and typically something has to go wrong.

When i changed the drivers seat recline it went all the way back and is now stuck there!

The monkeys have had it and told me that it needs a whole new seat frame, at first they quoted Â£99 but today have phoned me to say they made a mistake as they hadnt included the part and it now comes to Â£650!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously i dont want to pay this as already agreeded a selling price and i would have to cough up!

Is there anything i can do to sort it out (but not bodge it as selling to relative) or can i get a seat frame from scrap yard, can it be any 206 2 door seat, or does it specifically have to be 206cc?

Please help!

almost sure it's a normal seat frame, reap is the man to ask to make sure

Update to the situation:-

Took car to a (mechanic) friend so that he could a) do an MOT and b) have a look at seat for me.

The seat now appears to be working as it should and my friend didnt even touch it!

So either in it being messed around by monkeys they actually got it working, or they have made a huge mistake and have left the new seat frame in?

Either way im very happy!
