Hi - I've just fixed this problem myself
The boot latch on mine had come loose and was very easy to mend - all you need is a friendly passenger and a small spanner !
Get your passenger to watch the centre display as you drive over a bump, and see if a car picture appears briefly when the beep sounds. If so, then see if any part of the car picture is "filled in" - this is the clue to where the problem is.
If you suspect the boot area, open the boot and inspect the latch on the car body ( not the bit on the boot lid itself )
Try moving it firmly with your hand - if it moves at all, then you've found the problem !
To fix, simply tighten up the bolts on either side.
There may also be some evidence of wear or rubbing on the parts.
