Please, in simple non-tech language - What is "Multiplexing", What does it do, and how does it affect my car. Its all very confusing. I'd like to be able to explain what it is to someone one day!!! :???:

Does this mean that in future, if necessary, we can take our cars to the dealer for an 'upgrade'...What could be upgraded? Is this 'multiplex' malarkey the reason why i (occasionally) get crazy messages and flashing lights? As explained on my "Help!!!...Confused..." topic?? :???:
