Alright guys.

just been flicking through my copy of AutoExpress today, whcih has the 207 GT vs the new mini cooper s as its big feature test thing..

It seems the 207 gt has the same engine as the mini but they reckon this could be the car which bring back the driving experience of the 205, i have skimmed through it , but will a have read tonight, but it appears to be bigger then the mini and down in power

what would you guys go for?

I haven't liked the Mini since it came out and still don't so would need to go for a 207 - that's not to say I would actually buy one mind you :)

I'd probably go for the mini - just because I'm sick of pug build quality after owning 3 in a row

I've run Peugeots since 1979 and I've no complaints whatsoever.

Our 206cc is just purrfect ! Not a single problem with it.

I've not had any problems with 2 out of 3..I just don't like the shoddy build quality compared to other manufacturers

My troubles were all with both CC's.

Had issues but nothing major with 106, 106, 106, 306, 206 but 206CC time was bad and the reason why there was no 307CC time.

I had massive issues with my dturbo - had to have the flywheel, clutch and gearbox replaced due to it all "cracking and disintegrating", also had a drive shaft changed. On my 1.4 lx I had to have an abs sensor (nothing major) and somethign else which I forget replaced.

so far the cc's only had to have the door adjusted so it shuts properly - touch wood!

I advise you to keep a lump of wood in the car :D

I have never been a fan of the old, new and newer minis. Transport for estate agents if you ask me. :foot:

The BMW minis are too contrived for my liking and the latest incarnation is said to be little different. I see one driving round 2 weeks ago and the front end looked deformed. The mini is supposed to look like a fist at the front, but this thing looked more Massaratti than mini. It just didn’t gel with the rest of the car.

Mind you I have gone off the 207 too. It looks like an inflatable 206. The engine in the mini and the pug is supposed to be the same and the mini cooper S is getting good praise for the new engine. Unfortunately it looks like the 207 CC will only get the 150bhp version. With the extra weight I expect it will be slower than a 206CC.

But I guess we will have to wait and see. I have found myself changing my mind a lot lately when it comes to cars. I will have to take back allot of what I have previously written if the next car purchase goes according to plan.

Don’t worry the CC will be staying (5 1/2 years and still no issues), but if anyone wants one of the last (03) Saxo VTS's with 21k on the clock with just one owner then give us a reply!
