Has anyone had a similar problem to mine?

About a year and a half ago ,my back box corroded from the middle section after 38k.As per usual,i had the whole one piece exhaust shock and finally got Kwik Fit to replace the whole exhaust for £400.
Within two weeks the baffles had gone and the exhaust had to be replaced.

I then found that i kept getting an intermittent 'Catalist warning' warning on the dash(unfortunatly it never showed itself when i took it to Peugeot for a diagnostic). Now i put up with this on off bl##dy light and beep for 15k until(guess what) the baffles went again about a month ago.

KwikFit man told me this time that he'd replace it (again) but this would be the final time as i'd had three replacements and it must be an engine problem.

Welll the baffles on my third exhaust have gone again today and so i forsee a huge pain in the ass approaching.I didnt get any 'Cat' lights this time but its blowing like a bu##er and there is no leak from the exhaust so it must be the baffles again.
I cant accept that there is an engine fault because there was no problem until they put an after market exhaust on.

Incidentally, every exhaust they have put on has had a wonky tail pipe(the oval tail pipe used to be perfectly level and they have alway tilted on the aftermarket exhausts).

Can anyone help or has anyone had a similar problem?Help would be much appreciated before i have to start the rigmorole of going to Peugeot and then to Kwik Fit to find out if Kwik Fit have been putting on rubbish exhausts.

woah 3 re-posts...

I haven't had this problem myself *touch wood* it wont happen lol

but I know someone who has had problems with aftermarket exhausts... basically, regardless of what kwikfit have said, if it is still within warranty period, they will ahve to keep replacing it...

the warranty for that particular exhaust that is, not for the first one that was fitted.

If they don't replace it, kick up a big fuss and ask to speak to someone higher than you are dealing with... if you didn't have these problems before, it is up to them to prove that there is a problem with the engine and not with their product... but it seems to me like it is there products that are dodgy...
