So come on then....what does everyone use the "storage hole" between the two rear seats for then? Is there a special reason for it? What does it do?
A nice bottle of wine or carrier bags is the best i've come up with!!!

I honestly think it is a wine cooler. My parents used to have a citreon somethingorother and that had a special place in the boot to hold two bottles of wine.
typically french I'd say

People have made comments before about this! The best I have seen was at the meet - someone had a real cute bagpuss in it!
I usually have a bottle of water in mine or some sweets!
Bottle of wine doesn't fit well enough to shut the lid though does it????
Also someone mentioned putting an umbrella up in the hole as this would be more effective than the roof to keep the water out!!!
Maybe that can be a challenge for the next meet! See who can come up with the most interesting use!

I thought it would make a rather useful flag pole holder although I haven't tried it yet!

A little John Innes No. 2 in the 'pot' and it's the perfect place for a lemon-scented gerainium.

I liked Frosty's suggestion of a French stick holder.
Well it is a Peugeot after all.
