I am an unhappy Peugeot 206cc owner from HK. Since my purchase in 2001, I encountered electric roof, noisy brake, engine stall and air conditioner fan problems. In recent 2 months, the rear gear light switch failed, followed by 3rd rear light , rear break light switch, and LCD indicators for clock and mileage.
The air conditioner was repaired about 2 weeks before for hot air instead of cool air from the right side vents, but the problem found not solved even after changing a hose and adapter. And I am very dissatisfied to be asked to pay HK$4-5K again to replace part without guarantee for the air conditioner to work properly due to failure of other parts! My mileage is less than 30000Km and there are multiple break down and I have to visit the repair center every 1-2 weeks for the last 2 months. I think Peugeot should recall all their vehicles for safety sake due to very poor quality.

I missed out the leakage from engine and shock absorber, malalignment of the steering/wheel and wrong tyre replacement.
Here is a link about the solution for engine stall which cost you around 100 sterlings which I have paid for 450 sterling.

We should understand how Peugeot rip of us.

Let me get this straight.............

You bought the car in 2001- is that right?

Its now 2006.

Why do you still have the car if you are not happy with it?

seems that peugeot supply sub standard body panels for dealership repairs, through peugeot insurance as well....I'm still struggling to get remedial work carried out ever since the dealership fitted poor quality panels, and blatently said there was nothing I could do about it....he may be right too, even though he has has since gone out of business!!!
Peugeot will not acknowledge any communication from me...talk about 'ostritch'.. customer care should read customer care-less in my opinion!. best of luck with resolving your problems, Peugeot couldn'y 'care' less....celeret.

As mentioned, long time to have a car if your not happy.

I sold my 206CC when I felt like that and didn't hang onto it. I also sold an MG ZR in June after 19 months for the same reason even although I intended keeping it for 5 years as it was for work only more or less.

Try trading it in for a new model if you still like the 206CC - they weren't all badly built :)
