Central locking probs

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help before i go and have to spend money at the local rip off Pug dealer !

My wifes 206 GLX central locking unit aint working right. First off, if you use the key fob to lock all doors, the alarm goes off after anything from 10 mins to half an hour. On the 4th occasion of using the fob to open all the doors it will then not lock at all. When sat inside the red 'all door close' button dont work at all. When using the key to lock the doors it will only lock the drivers door, when opening the drivers door it then locks all the other doors.

It seems that the central locking is all over the place.

Please, please some one help.

inside the driver's (or is it passenger's) footwell there's a control box under the carpet and water as been known to get in there and short it out now and again
