Hi,

I'm hoping someone here might have some clue as to what I might do next!!

My roof gets stuck in exactly the same place everytime I try to open it. The boot opens, and the roof starts to move back but it always sticks at about a 90degree angle. It beeps, and won't go any further back, but I can bring it back to a close.

In the past it has gone all the way back, but it was very, very jerky, and once it carried on falling back, and scratched all along the roof where it met with the bonnet falling closed.

It has been to the garage twice, both times, the roof worked fine, and so they say there's no point doing a diagnostic because if there's no fault it won't show. The second time I took it, they checked the hydraulic oil and they the microswitches, saying that it sounds as though (from what I describe) it might be them playing up.

It worked twice, straight after I collected it, and now sticks everytime.

I am at my wits end. Does anyone have any ideas??

Please help!!

No it's not under warranty. It is a 51 plate. I bought it in February from a small car dealer, and they only gave a 3 month warranty. The car first displayed this problem while under that 3 month warranty, but when they took it in they said it worked fine

Hey.
i have the same problem with my car.
mine is at the garage for the 7´th time, so far they have put in a new pump for the roof the 4´th time i was in, and they were sure that the pump was the problem, but as i said it is back at the garage for the 7´th time.

P.S this time they have "solvede" the problem, since the car was stolen  so no more problems....

if the roof fell back on its own and not in a controled manor would sugest to me that you have a hydrolic ram fault. or not enough pressure being exerted by the roof pump?.
prob all out of sync now as well?

Well through sheer luck, it seems my new best friend at Peugeot has found the microswitch which is causing all the problems. When the roof sticks, I have to jab said switch with a pen and the thing works!!

I am booking my car in to have the microswitch replaced on Tuesday - which should be timed just right with a change in the weather - the sun probably won't come out again until next summer!!!!!!!!!!!!
