I was putting the roof up yesterday and it stopped half way up!! :x I have managed to get the roof up and the boot lid almost fully closed, but it won't lock into place. I have used the white hook things like it says in the manual so that it doesn't fly open when I'm driving, but the main catches won't lock so the alarm goes off inside constantly because the boot lid isn't closed properly! :?

Is it possible to manually fully close the lid? Can't get the Pug garage to look at it until next tuesday, and don't want to have to put up with the constant alarm until then! Oh, and to make matters worse, the warranty ran out the beginning of this month!! I am hoping it will just be something wrong with the microswitches....anyone know how much that would cost?

Thanks,
Marc

I don't think they will do it for free unfortunately....I booked the car in last month for a service (had to wait 2-3 weeks for a slot) and asked them to take a look at the alarm while it was there because it was too sensitive. It needed a new ECU unit but they wouldn't do it for free because the warranty ran out the day before (it says the 3rd on the service record, but the 2nd on the log book, and I took it on the 3rd), regardless of the fact I had to wait about 3 weeks for them to get around to looking at it!!

Are there any other dealers near(ish) to you?
Give 'em a ring and say you're not getting good service from your current one, and that you have a problem that needs sorting.
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.
