Does anyone have any ideas? We were out tonight and had the top off. When parked and put the roof back up the windows wouldn't close.

We have now tried this countless times repeating everything but with the roof up and locked in, the windows refuse to work. I get a doo doo doo (going up in pitch on each doo) but NOTHING happens.

I'm worried it's going to rain tonight and the car will get soaked...also I NEED this to be corrected for work in the morning.

SOMEONE HELP!

Thanks.

Have you locked the roof properly??

Just a stab in the dark, but the windows won't go back up until they are done up.

Have you tried putting the roof down and putting the windows up - just to eliminate the fact that the motor for the windows hasn't gone?

Umm ok I'm stuck now.. :?

It has got to be something to do with the roof not closing especially if they work with the roof down.

Same thing happened to mine tonight, except I think its the driver side window motor as the passenger windows work fine, off to the dealer to tomorrow, hoping it doesn't rain

Hey! I had the same prob with my CC two days ago - the problem was the microswitch in the roof - the roof catch on the passenger side wasn't hitting the microswitch when it was closed so the car didn't think the roof operation had finished.

Luckily my dad is a mechanic and all he did was take out the switch, bend the pin a bit so that the roof catch hit it when it was closed and hey presto, sorted!!

I have the same problem on mine right now. Poor little thing sat out last night with her windows down and car unlocked as alarm kept going off, I assume it was the wind going through car. Got up this morning to find it rained like billy oh last night :( I am taking her into the garage today so think I will mention the microswitches as its not the first time its happened n last time they said they cant get it to not work when i got her back, n I tried n sure enough she worked everytime, until 3 days ago!!!

Little off topic - but window playing up

Post by Ollie »

Bit of a thread Hijack, only found this in the search re: my window not going up.
My drivers side window has been playing up over the last 3 weeks.
Goes down fine, if you stop halfway and then pull the switch up it continues to go down also taking the rear one down. I found turning the engine off and just turning on the cars electrics I pull the switch up and can hear a clicking in the rear seats/boot area but a couple of goes and it eventually goes up.

Since this issue I have noticed when driving down motorways wind in my ear.. It was not until yesterday I noticed the window is shut a 1cm gap from the glass to the seal. So I opened the window and when I eventually got it to go back up gently pulled the glass in and it is now against the seal and the switch seems to function a 'little' better in opening and closing the window, BUT, is still playing up.. If anyone has any ideas then do let me know as to what it could be.
I am going to take it to Maidstone Peugeot to get it serviced so can get them to let me know, but your knowledge is always appreciated to make sure I dont get ripped off.
