roof rubbers

hi all i am new to forum just got myself a cc and love it the moment :D,
i been looking round it and looking at the roof rubbers they seem a bit shiny the one on top of the windscreen, should i treat this with anything?

silicon spray such as autoglym vinyl and rubber care :)
