Hi, does anybody know whether or not I should have my passenger airbag on with my 4 year old daughter in the front? I thought if they were in a car seat, you cant - but she sits on a booster seat :?

Hi julee,
If you want to seat her in the front on a booster seat then you MUST turn the airbag OFF. It is recommended though to seat her in the back.

Official ROSPA advice is:
Q: Can I put a forward-facing child restraint in the front passenger seat if it has an airbag?

A: It is better not to place a forward-facing restraint in a seat with an airbag; try to avoid this if possible. If it is not possible, then check the advice of the vehicle manufacturer. Find out how far the airbag extends when deployed and ensure that your child is well outside the expansion area. Ensure that the passenger seat is as far back from the airbag as possible, that the child seat is very securely fitted and the child is securely held by the harness or seat belt.

If you want to check the Rospa site yourself then go to:

Safe motoring, Best Wishes,

Julee,

Turn the airbag off then and sit her in the front. I presume you'll use your wind deflector then.

I have two little grandaughters aged 1 and 2, and a 5 year old grandson so it would be safety seats in the back for the infants and a booster seat in the front for Samuel - with the airbag turned off. Windy though, I agree because I can't use the wind deflector in those circumstances.

About £225 brand new from Peugeot I think, but you can find them on eBay. I paid about £180 for mine (like new) from there.

See

where there was some discussion on here a short while ago.

Julee,

Try this perhaps?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peugeot-206-cc-Wi ... dZViewItem

You'll need to check how much the seller wants for postage.
Good luck,

Ron

P.S. Don't everyone else rush for it, leave it to Julee to bid at the last minute if she wants.

I don't seem to be having any luck sending private messages. I had spotted a BUY IT NOW for £125 on eBay and was trying to flag it up for you without alerting all and sundry. It looked a real bargain and, of course, its been snapped up already.

Sorreeeeeeeeee
