Steering feels heavy

Hi,

I am from the Maldives Islands.

My 206cc steering wheels seems very heavy compared to my Toyota Yaris (which can be turned with a single finger).

Is there any way of making the steering lighter?

Your advise in this matter is much appreciated. Oh! There are no Peugeot service centers or dealers in Maldives and no Peugeot qualified engineers.

All cars have different characteristics. I prefer the 206 which has nicely weighted steering and excellent "feel" which makes its handling so good and predictable. I wouldn't want to alter it to make it handle like a Yaris.

Keep your tyres at the correct pressures, check them regularly, and don't go for wide low profile wheels and tyres.

Newer tyres often have a big effect, old rubber makes the steering more ponderous.

if you want heavy steering try a 1996 vauxhall/opel astra without power steering, need arms like arnie

So Badie what u gonna do for service and all the other gremlins that accompany a CC if you got no Peugeot dealers or engineers??

Its true Maldives has not that much of roads, considering the capital island is only 2miles by 1.5 miles. The entire island is the size of a large football stadium!!!
The maximum speed limit is 30km/hr!!
And there are NO qualified engineers whatsoever...all engineers are "self-taught" and most of them can't even read a manual!!!

However, it is hard to look at a CC in motion (or in a showroom for that matter) and not wanting one!! That's what happened to me... I should have been better off with a nice sports powerboat which I can take for rides to nice beaches!! haha!

BUT... I do love my CC
